Request for architect/engineer proposals

The McDowell County Economic Development Authority seeks expressions of interest from professional firms interested in providing architectural/engineering services in the development of a feasibility study for affecting a prioritize step program to achieve modernization, rehabilitation, repairing, and restoration of the McDowell County Courthouse. Historic preservation will be an overriding goal.

It is anticipated that professional services for the activity will ultimately include: construction design in accordance with all State, Federal, and Local regulations that pertain to the proposed project; preparation of bidding and contracting documents; participation in the evaluation of bids received; and management of construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.

Procurement of services shall be in accordance with West Virginia Code Chapter 5G. All firms interested in being considered for this project must submit a proposal detailing qualification technical expertise, management and stalling capabilities and related prior experience. Technical qualification and experience will be weighed heavy.
