EDA to Host Luncheon

The Federal Prison now appears to be on the fast track and is an essential part of the County's program for economic enhancement. Therefore, the County's economic development program will be the subject of an “open to the public” luncheon meeting on Thursday, July 27 th at 12 noon. The session will be held in the Herzburn Room of the McDowell Public Library in Welch. The public is urged to attend. A light lunch will be available for attendees.

The Honorable Carl Urps, County Commissioner , will discuss concepts, principles, organization and their implementation for a viable program for improved lifestyle opportunities for County citizens. Commissioner Urps' brief discussion will be followed by Rachel Lester, Executive Director of the County Economic Development Authority, Ms. Lester will discuss the implementation of the County Commissioner 's vision and principles.

The meeting is under the auspices of Work Force West Virginia and the Chamber of Commerce.
