Margaret Hambrick is Chamber's Next Featured Speaker

Margaret Hambrick of Alderson, the location of the Women's Federal Prison, will be the featured speaker at the Chamber of Commerce's monthly meeting on economic development enhancement opportunities. The meeting will be at 12 Noon on Friday, October 27 th in the Herzburn Room of the McDowell Public Library in Welch. The meeting is open to the public and the public is urged to attend. A light lunch will be available.

Ms. Hambrick was the Chamber's featured speaker a year or so ago. Her presentation on prison's community, social, cultural and business relationships were succinctly and meaningfully presented. Her background is education but her predominate work experiences have been with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Ms. Hambrick, a graduate of West Virginia University , has served in several federal prisons throughout the country rising to serve us as Warden and ultimately to be in charge, nationwide, for quality control of Federal Prison Industries and its Education programs.
